Big Needles and Chunky Wool

The joy of big needles and chunky wool! I’m making rapid progress on this jumper. It is destined for one of the girls and it is going to be seamless with a bit of a cable pattern on the yoke. The yarn is 12 ply from Bendigo Woolen Mills. (Rustic in Damson Shade).
Long Tail Cast On

I finished the socks! I’m going to have a bit of a break from sock knitting because I want to knit something else – I’m going to use my 12 ply yarn from here. On a completely different note what is the difference between SSK and K2tog tbl?

I’m sure this is a knitting rite of passage, but I’ve ripped my sock and I’m starting again with something simpler. It’s going to be a plain vanilla sock as described here.

May Sock Progress

My May sock is coming together quite quickly (well compared to the March and April sock). The pattern is very easy to remember and as there is no purl stitches it moves along quite quickly.
Another Finished Object

I finished my scarf! The exclamation mark is well-deserved. I’ve been working on this scarf since July 2009! It’s a Jo Sharp pattern (Long Ridged Scarf) and I used Jo Sharp DK wool in Ink.
