The third installment of the Schoolgirl Sewing Club has arrived (have I started any of them? no) These are beautifully packaged.
I might need to do an inventory and see how many projects I have!
I am an eternal optimist and I believe the perfect embroidery set up is out there.
I bought this Nurge one.
I have set it up and used it once. So far I have no complaints; nothing has annoyed me yet.
I like how I can use my Halo Go like this
We will see – I have been disappointed before.
I am working on my January poem for Tender Whispers from the Heart.

Rebecca Devaney of Textile Tours of Paris had a sale (everything is always beautifully packaged). And I can’t resist pretty fabric and silk threads. Yet another project to add to the enormous list.

I have seen this quilt in person at the Jane Austen House Museum, so when I saw it was available to reproduce in a kit, I was very keen.
It comes in this beautiful box
With all of the fabrics and an instruction booklet, and a template for cutting the diamonds.
Now I just need to get started (and dig out my sewing machine!).

Rebecca Devaney from Textile Tours of Paris had a sale. And I couldn’t resist more antique French tea towels and au ver à soie silk threads (I have quite a collection of them now).
As always, it came beautifully packaged (it even smells nice) with a little gift (the blue checked fabric is a little bag).

Project 2 from the School Girl Stitching Club (From the Crewel Gobelin) has arrived.
Have I done anything with project 1? No, I have not. These samplers are beautiful and they come beautifully packaged with lovely materials.
This one has, in addition, a little project we can work on, with all of the finishing materials.

My Summer Celebration box from the Stitchery arrived – I pre-ordered this months ago.
There was also some Acufactum fabric, which, I think I will use for English Paper Piecing.
I am glad I ordered this. It was quite expensive (especially considering the state of the Australian dollar), but it gorgeous.

I saw this broach here, and had to have it.
It came quickly (UK to Australia) and was beautifully packaged.
I do like a beautiful kit – probably very shallow of me. I have gotten a bit carried away this year and I have bought several kits (and I think The Schoolgirl Sewing Club has four projects), not to mention the SALs I joined digitally. I have enough to keep me busy for several lifetimes. I am doing a bit of a rotation, but I am not sure I have found the best approach yet.

My School Girl Sewing Club arrived today – from the Crewel Gobelin.
Brenda from Brenda and the Serial Starter – talked about this club last year and I was keen to participate, but it sells out fast! This year, I stalked the website from January. I chose the 40 count linen version.
As you can see above, it comes beautifully packaged. This one is Mary Lockhead Sampler by Sovereign Samplers.
I have so many projects on the go. I am not sure when I will get to this, but I am very keen to try the linen (Hogbristle Light by Fox & Rabbit). I need more hours in the day.

I went on a holiday to Tasmania. And I always like to buy craft materials as souvenirs.
On my very first morning, I went for a run and came across the Salamanca Wool Shop, and I requested Tasmanian sock yarn – I bought the skein to the left from Wattlebird Yarn.
Next up I went to A Stitch in Time, where I bought the Sampler (exclusive to them) and the scissors. I have been wanting sharper scissors to make my pin stitches work better.
And then in Launceston, I went to Knit, Needles and Wool. This place was full of yarn and there was a group meeting at the back – it all was very welcoming. Once again, I looked for sock yarn from Tasmania, and found White Gum Wool – the one I have is 80% merino and 20% silk. I am very keen to start knitting with this one.
