More Christmas Embroidery

This is Miss P’s Christmas embroidery (the design is from here) – I used a christmas print on the Sunbonnet Sue, but the Christmas parts are a bit hidden.

I used two layers of iron-on tear- away stabiliser and it has worked well. I also starched the fabric, which does seam to make a difference.

Christmas Embroidery

It has become a bit of a family tradition that I make Miss A and Miss P Christmas T-Shirts.  The design above is for Miss A – it’s from Bunnycup embroidery. I used two layers of stabiliser, but it still puckered a bit.

I’m stitching Miss P’s at the moment.

Progress on the knittting

I’ve been working on my all-in-one top. I’m at the point when I start knitting the sleeves.

The pattern so far (from here) has been really easy to follow – just round and round with a purl round every 10th time. I do have to say that stitch markers have made the whole process a bit quicker – I don’t have to think about the starting point.

I’m slightly concerned about the sleeves. I think I understand how it is all going to go together (I could be wrong of course), but I want the pattern on the body to flow into the pattern on the sleeves – this might require some thought.

Swirly Skirt

I’ve started working on this skirt. It consists of 24 triangles – I’m glad I bought it as a kit all of the cutting would have driven me mad.

So far so good. The instructions are great and it seems to be coming together nicely. I’m slightly concerned about the 1/4 inch seam allowances and no seam finishes (won’t it fray?)

I’ve been away – here – a fabulous (and very relaxing) time was had by all. I did more knitting which I will show you in another post.

Today I spent a bit of time sorting out my craft room. I share it with Misses A and P and it was getting messy, disordered and very cluttered. I find it hard to think straight when surrounded by a mess. So now I shall be able to start my Christmas crafting.
