I finished my version of the Duke Who Gives it All Up socks, which is part of the Golden Honey Sock club.
I used Elsie Gray’s Signature Hand Dyed Range – in colour Just Joey. I used my usual 2.25mm knit pro zing circulars.

I am still plodding along on Miss P’s blanket, but every now and then I need a bit of a change. I have started a new pair of socks – I have joined the Golden Honey Sock club, and this is my version of the Duke Who Gives it All Up socks. I think another pattern comes out in May so I need to get a move on.
I am using a yarn from Elsie Gray’s (my Albany souvenir yarn) and my usual 2.25 knitting needles.

I started these socks back in April 2022 (I got waylaid by Miss P’s blanket), had a false start and then tried again and now I have finally finished them.
Here’s my original post, I stuck with the pattern and used the Yarn Harlot’s toe pattern (the 4-3-2-1 pattern).
While waiting for more yarn to arrive for P’s blanket I have switched back to my Covid project, I am on to the dress now.

I went to Dunsborough for the weekend. It was fabulous – very relaxing.
While there, I bought souvenir yarn (yes that is a thing) from Text and Co – this fantastic store that sells books and yarn (heaven).

I have started a new sock using Fortissima Mexica in colour 908. I am using 2.75 mm zings.
I have started with a 2 by 2 twisted rib, which I really like, however I cast on 76 stitches (seems too many, but that was what my swatch suggested) and I want to use crosshatch lace, which is a multiple of 6. So I need to drop to 72 stitches. I can rip out what I have done and start again.

This is what I have from The Sock Knitter’s Handbook by Beth Parrott and Charlene Schurch.

I finished my Christmas socks! They’re short socks for wearing in summer (it was 39 degrees yesterday!).
The yarn is from Daffodil Road – in the Poinsettia colour-way.
I used my usual needles (Knit Pro Zings – I really like these needles)
The sock is just a rib, heel flap and gusset and a foot. I used Kate Atherley’s toe construction.

I have finished one Christmas sock, which I started sometime in December (didn’t write down the date I started).
It’s a short sock, just a cuff and foot and I tried to make the cuff a bit more interesting using a twisted stitch.

After the marathon that was Miss A’s blanket, I finally finished something else – socks!
It’s a plain vanilla sock – cuff down. The yarn is from Louie and Lola – I am not sure how well it will hold up, but it is beautiful.

My sock is progressing. There is a 1×1 twisted rib and now I am using the leg pattern from Helen Stewart’s Vapour socks.
Yarn is from Louie and Lola and is Merino, Silk and Yak in the dusty rose colour way. I’m using 2.25mm needles.

I have started my November socks. This yarn is beautiful. It is a merino, silk and yak mix from Louie and Lola yarns in the Dusty Rose colourway.
I am doing a 1×1 twisted rib and then I am going to use the pattern from Helen Stewart’s Vapour Socks (it was part of her Handmade Sock Society 3 – I have purchased all three of her sock societies).
