School girl Sewing Club

My School Girl Sewing Club arrived today – from the Crewel Gobelin.

Brenda from Brenda and the Serial Starter – talked about this club last year and I was keen to participate, but it sells out fast! This year, I stalked the website from January. I chose the 40 count linen version.

As you can see above, it comes beautifully packaged. This one is Mary Lockhead Sampler by Sovereign Samplers.

I have so many projects on the go. I am not sure when I will get to this, but I am very keen to try the linen (Hogbristle Light by Fox & Rabbit). I need more hours in the day.

Home Sweet Home Update

Home Sweet Home update

I did the ironing today, so I took the opportunity to remove the hoop, iron this piece and photograph it.

It’s Home Sweet Home by Modern Folk Embroidery – the new pattern is a bit different to this.

I am working on 40 count linen using Au ver à soie 100.3.

I am enjoying planning my stitch path, so I don’t have runs of thread on the back and I don’t have to end threads all of the time.

I am being very monogamous, but I have joined to SALs; Jardin Privé and Clouds Factory. My supplies haven’t arrived yet – I ordered from JKs Cross Stitch Supplies. Once they arrive I will have to decided what to do.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home

I am back onto my Home Sweet Home cross stitch – I am enjoying the process.

It is a 40 count linen (Zweigart, but I don’t know the name), Au ver à Soie 100.3 (colour 650).

The pattern is from Modern Folk Embroidery.

Testing Reds

Au ver a soie reds (the spools are 100/3 and the skein soie d’alger

After all my other embroidery projects (Cinnamon Stars and the RSN crewel work), I want to make the Home Sweet Home sampler from Modern Folk Embroidery. So I have bought a few different reds from Stitchers’ Corner to test. I am going to use this linen (Sand 40 count)
