<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;m quite keen to be knitting, but as I haven&#8217;t picked up the 6mm circular needles I need for <a title="http://sewwitty.com/2010/10/01/plans-and-projects/" href="http://sewwitty.com/2010/10/01/plans-and-projects/" target="_blank">this project</a>, I&#8217;ve resurrected my <a title="http://sewwitty.com/2010/02/02/spiral-knitting/" href="http://sewwitty.com/2010/02/02/spiral-knitting/" target="_blank">spiral baby blanket</a>. The baby this blanket was intended for is now about 5 months old, but I know more pregnant people so there is a chance I will get it finished before the next baby arrives.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">It takes me about half an hour to do two rounds &#8230;</p>

<p>This seemed like such an easy project &#8211; just go around in circles until it is big enough. I cast on about 10 times!</p>
<p>The pattern is from <a title="http://www.knitlist.com/00gift/round-baby-blanket.htm" href="http://www.knitlist.com/00gift/round-baby-blanket.htm" target="_blank">here</a> - although I couldn&#8217;t manage the yarn over increases and swapped to knitting into the front and back of the stitch.</p>
<p>The yarn is a <a title="http://www.pandayarns.biz/colour_range.asp?yarnid=21" href="http://www.pandayarns.biz/colour_range.asp?yarnid=21" target="_blank">Panda Magnum Soft 8 ply </a>(in colour 4603). I wanted something machine washable.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve just switched to a circular needle and I decided to splurge a little bit and buy one of <a title="http://www.shopknitch.com/needles2.php?cPath=465" href="http://www.shopknitch.com/needles2.php?cPath=465" target="_blank">these</a> - everything flows much better.</p>
