<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;m  binding this <a title="A New Quilt Design" href="http://sewwitty.com/2012/01/19/a-new-quilt-design/">quilt</a>. I&#8217;m using the same technique as last <a title="Dino Quilt is Finished" href="http://sewwitty.com/2012/02/24/dino-quilt-is-finished/">time </a>&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: left;">Attach the binding to the back of the quilt.</li>
<li>Fold to the front and top stitch close to the edge of the fold.</li>
</ul>
<p>This time I used 2.5 inch strips rather than 2. Just because I had 2.5 inch strips left over from cutting the quilt pieces. It does seem to make things less tight.</p>
<p>I also like to zig zag in the seam allowance once I&#8217;ve attached the binding to the back. It just flattens everything and makes for a nicer binding.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;ve used this method several times and had no problems with the wadding coming apart or shifting. You just want to make sure there isn&#8217;t any lumps along the join (no overlapping)</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">I finished my <a title="Dino Quilt" href="http://sewwitty.com/2011/06/20/dino-quilt/">Dino Quilt</a>. Above is the front and below is the back.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sewwitty.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Back_Finished.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1482" title="Back_Finished" src="http://sewwitty.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Back_Finished-224x300.jpg" alt="" width="224" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I free-motion quilted it using a stippling pattern. I found this to be quite tricky simply because of the size of the quilt, but in the end I&#8217;m pleased with the results. As always, I could do with more practice.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I tried a new binding technique. I remembered what happened <a title="http://sewwitty.com/2012/01/18/the-quilt-is-finished/" href="http://sewwitty.com/2012/01/18/the-quilt-is-finished/">last time</a> and followed my own advice. I cut the binding strips 2 inches wide, attached them to the back first and then machine sewed them to the front.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sewwitty.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Binding_Finished.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1483" title="Binding_Finished" src="http://sewwitty.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Binding_Finished-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Still not completely perfect, but I am happy with the results.</p>
